9:00 am to 9:55 am – Government Contracting 101, Part 1: An Introduction to Federal Contracting
This seminar provides an overview of the federal government contracting process. It is designed for small businesses that are new to the world of federal procurement. We will focus on 10 Simple Steps to get started in government contracting including: obtaining a DUNS number, determining your NAICS Code and registering in SAM/DSBS.
10:00 am to 10:55 am – Government Contracting 101, Part 2: Overview of Small Business Programs
This workshop will detail the eligibility requirements for small business certifications including: Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business (DBE), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB). We will also review the application process for 8(a) and HUBZone certification.
11:00 am to 12:00 pm – Government Contracting 101, Part 3: Marketing and Selling to the Federal Government
This seminar is designed to help Small Businesses take advantage of government contracting opportunities. We will teach you how to develop a winning SAM profile, prepare a quality Capability Statement, find contract opportunities and market directly to federal agencies.
