WBC Business Bootcamp | File for your ‘LLC’ to protect yourself and your business
During this half-day bootcamp our in-house legal expert, Crystal J. Rodriguez-Dabney, Esq. and her team will lead you step-by-step through the process of filing for your LLC with New York State and registering for an IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN)!
WHAT ARE LLCs AND EINs AND WHY DO I NEED THEM?
LLC: Limited Liability Company. Forming an LLC protects your personal assets. It also unlocks the ability for you to more easily open bank accounts, enter into contracts, hire employees, and get business licenses and permits. Any business owner who seeks to limit their personal liability for potential business debts and lawsuits should form an LLC.
EIN: IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) If you form a one-member (yourself as the owner) LLC, even if you have no employees you are required to file for an EIN number with the IRS.
Crystal serves on our Business Recovery Taskforce and routinely assists business owners as they navigate the legal landscape. She specializes in helping women and minority-owned businesses get the legal part right by making everything ‘Crystal Clear’! This is a hands-on, working bootcamp that will have you filed by the end of the day. Please bring your laptop, if you don’t have one we can provide one for you.
